Yup . . .They're a Good outfit with Great rates ... but their offerings are Limited.
I don't have any GICs with them yet, but I do own their stock (MKP),
and I love that Sweet 8+% Dividend.Dean
The strange part is my wife through GIC Wealth Management bought a 2yr GIC within an RRSP account at Mcan in April 2022. Go figure.

The deposit broker channel is different than their direct MCAN Wealth channel. Rate for five-year is 3.70% direct and 3.40% to 3.50% through deposit brokers.
Looks like their direct channel is still a work in progress. MCAN could also offer RRSP GIC's through their direct channel if they offer them through their deposit broker channel.

MCAN offering GICs 'Directly', is less than a year old. When I talked to one of their CSRs late last year, I was told there were no plans in the works (at that time) to go beyond non-registered GICs, but that could change in the future.
And the last time I checked, they still don't offer a savings account. Some see that as no-big-deal, but when dealing with an FI, I like to have that option available.
I guess we'll just have to wait-and-see if & when they go beyond their present offerings.
