Manulife Bank had a high-interest promotion for new accounts, so I decided to participate. While applying online, I unintentionally opened two savings accounts. I noticed both accounts displayed the high promotional interest rate. To be sure, I called their customer service. The representative checked my accounts and confirmed that both had the high promotional interest rate. I repeatedly asked for confirmation, and he assured me 100%. Based on this, I transferred my money to the second savings account. Before the promotional period ended, I checked my second savings account and found that the high-interest rate was no longer displayed. My deposited money never earned the promised high-interest rate. I have repeatedly negotiated with the bank, but the issue remains unresolved. Can such a bank still be trusted?
