I finally got everything setup with my LBC Digital HISA. It took a full week for me requiring many calls to LBC support. Good support, I must say, but I experienced many technical issues that I did not have before with any other FI for similar registration process.

So far, in my experience with this registration process, I would stop right there, but the advertised 3.3% interest rate is still interesting.

Before I move any money there, does someone know the limits of the money transfer OUT of LBC Digital HISA?

I did not find anything on their website about the transfer OUT limits, if any.

AFAIK it's the same as B2B, which is a $50K limit per push-out transaction but you can enter as many push-outs as you want

About the persistent error messages in LBC Digital banking, I finally heard back from LBC's customer service dept via secure msg within online banking platform. I clearly specifically asked them the reason for the ongoing error messages that pop up in each and every online banking session. Heard back from two different individuals at LBC. Neither representative specifically addressed my question. Rather unhelpful. All they sent to me was what seemed like a pre-scripted copy-paste reply saying that they are aware of this issue that some customers are experiencing and are working to rectify the issue. Anyone else experiencing persistent error messages and wrote to LBC customer service about it? What did they say? Thanks.

So do Laurentian x 1 million @ 3.3% and B2B x 1 million @ 3.3%

...and you got some cool interest happening.

I have some motus gic's at up to 3.95%

You think thats a good idea going over the cdic limit by 1.8mill in a higher risk lender.

When did motus pay 3.95

Is any one else having real troubles creating an account. I got my report from equifax. I keep on getting some bogus questions and answering the two valid ones correctly I think. I keep on getting locked out after one attempt

So I logged in this morning and all my linked accounts in Laurentian bank have been wiped clean. I am unable to move funds in or out.

I sent a message to see what is going on but I think they are getting too many deposits and are purposely removing linked accounts. (or so it seems)

They pay that in the last year of their GIC terms (or did when I signed up)

As far as the risk goes.... there is always a risk and that includes the stock market etc. I only invest what I can afford to lose but I think the risk itself is minimal.

I logged in around 6:00am and my balance showed $0. Yesterday had $100K. Something going on.

Now it just won't let me log in.

Now I also cannot log in and every so many logins it gives me this...

https://www.cdic.ca/wp-content/uploads/cdic-abbreviated-brochure-en.pdf

It is basically showing me the deposit insurance limits I think it is as I stated above, they are probably getting so many deposits that they cannot afford to pay all that interest.

I think we will see a cut off from the 3.3% anytime now.

I'm glad I kept my motive account at 2.8%

I just tried logging in 3 times and I just get this:
"An error has occurred. Please contact our Help Desk 1.866.249.1489."

Looks like they may be experiencing difficulties with their website.

I'm logged in now and as the poster said above....

My grand total on deposit is now a big zilch

I have no linked accounts

Online it looks like my funds are gone but we all know this is just a technical glitch.

... both B2B and LDB worked for me 1st time ... I even linked B2B to/from LDB to get more CIDC coverage ... just got luckysf-smile I guess

I have read a few posts saying that you MUST use two different email addresses if you want to use both B2B and LBC.

Is this exact ?

Yes that is correct @AlainJF

All seems to be working at Laurentian again, my funds appear in my account and I was able to make another transfer in.

The bogus questions from Equifax are quite normal.

They are part of the verification. You know the questions are bogus. You are the actual person the Equifax file is about and know the correct answer is "none of the above". But, an amateur identity thief won't necessarily know that.

I think the correct answer to only one or two of my questions was other than "none of the above."

Yes, two distinct e-mail addresses would be needed.

blahuenga found that one has multiple e-mail addresses anyways if one has a Gmail mailbox:

Pro-tip if you're using a gmail account, you can sign up for multiple accounts like by throwing in a . anywhere. So firstlast@gmail.com is your gmail? All emails sent to first.last@gmail.com also go to inbox and so do f.i.rstlast@gmail.com etc.

So in this case - B2B login is firstlast@gmail.com and Laurentian login is first.last@gmail.com since the same address isn't allowed.

By mistake, I have used my LBC credentials on the B2B login page... and it did logged in ! There was nothing there, but I noticed my mistake immediately before jumping to the conclusion that my LBC account has been wiped out.

Since you have two accounts based on your previous reply (B2B and LBC), you might want to re-check this... perhaps this is what has happened to you ?

Perhaps, this is the same for Bruford ? ( https://www.highinterestsavings.ca/forum/b2b-bank/lbc-digital-another-online-only-offering-from-laurentian-bank-group/page-7/#p46266 ? )

No I actually don't have a B2B account yet, I am going to set it up when I max out the Laurentian account.

I can assure you I was in the correct account using the correct credentials, I have been doing this for a long time and don't make mistakes logging in. I use lastpass with strong encrypted passwords different for each account. I could never login to one bank with another banks credentials because I would have to completely different passwords.

If you read above, I was not the only one experiencing this situation. Mind you I did not panic because I knew it had to be a technical error on their end.

It's a 5 year rate, here is a screen shot. It pays that in the 5th year. Picture0008.png

Not possible. I don't have a B2B account.

I will now make it a habit of taking regular screenshots of all my online only accounts. Probably a good habit to get into.
