I have just opened an account with LBC Digital and I am attempting to e-transfer some funds into it. When I clink on the email link to deposit the funds I have selected the option for Laurentian Bank. This takes me to LBC direct which asks me for an access code which I don't have (only user name and password to log in to online banking). The telephone number supplied to sign up takes me to some other iteration of Laurentian that can't help me. Does anyone have any tips for me?

If you just opened the account, you may wish to allow LBC Digital a business day or two to fully activate your account in their back-end systems.

Also, Briguy reported that the LBC Digital HISA cannot accept Interac e-Transfers. One needs to also open an LBC Digital chequing account to accept an Interac e-Transfer.

Try selecting B2B Bank as your bank and it should send you to a website that asks you if you want B2B Bank or Laurentian Bank and then you can enter your email and password to login.

To clarify what was suggested: from drop down menu of banks select B2B/Laurentian.
Then, it'll ask you which of two banks to deposit - if you've got that question, you are at the right place.

Do not choose Laurentian bank from list of icons - that would be the wrong Laurentian bank.

Interac will remember your correct choice, and next time will offer you to select the right Laurentian bank from email it sends:

On the product page LBC Digital High Interest Savings Account, LBC Digital announced that they have amended their Personal Deposit Agreement:

Updates to Personal Deposit Agreement

Effective immediately, Section 2.3 (c) of the Personal Deposit Agreement has been amended. To view the agreement, please visit lbcdigital.ca/accountinformation.

Essentially, they've corrected section 2.3(c) to say that one can't receive Interac e-Transfers either with the savings account, as some of us found out.

Before, the section said one can't send but can receive an Interac e-Transfer with the savings account.
