Simpletax was bought by Wealthsimple. They don't need donations. They manage 5 billion in assets. Using free tax software to bring traffic to their products is payment enough.

Studio Tax should learn from Simple Tax imo.

I donated back in 2017 and they were using the same third-party system that they are still using now. Less personal with no thank you, but that's okay by me because not every software company has the means to do financial transactions. It's like any small business.
The thing I like most about StudioTax is that you don't have to give any personal information to use them, unlike SimpleTax and many others.

I really like using Studio Tax. On my first year using I had to contact them and the replies were reasonably quick. Since doing taxes is an annual thing I have made notes to refer to, to avoid unnecessary contact. And it all resides on my computer.....which just makes so much sense. And have been thinking...at the end of doing your return there is an easy to forget message to suggest a donation....and maybe there is a “thanks in advance” there too? Never the less if they had PayPal reply or had someone compile a list of emails and sent out a genuine “Thank You” I think their donations would increase. Something we would all want to see.
