If you (like me) prefer *hard* copy of the tax guides, CRA is accepting request for 2021 packages at this link here

... However, your patience will be tested.

I file paper returns and they send me the full package, including guide, automatically every year. I assume that's not changed.

Hard copies use to be available at Canada Post but I think that was discontinued last year.

I recall that decision was a result of low utilization rate. CP ends up tossing out huge numbers of hard copy packages as more and more people use tax software, including the sometimes free online web based ones for basic returns.

Paper filing goes down each year. https://www.canada.ca/en/revenue-agency/corporate/about-canada-revenue-agency-cra/individual-income-tax-return-statistics.html but there will always be a need for some paper filings, such as Final T1 Returns, T3 Testamentary Trust returns and some who do not have (lost) their NOA Access Code for Netfile. Perhaps 1 million of these per year.

I like the paper return to "rough in" some numbers before inputting them to my computer. One year I actually filed a paper return because I didn't have Windows 7 (still had XP).

Thanks for the reminder, I need to order some (somehow it's become a growing, inter-generational, analogue family tradition, sitting at the dining room table doing your paper return with the old guy's help).
