Has anyone noticed that Ideal's parent company, Carpathia, has a US$ chequing account with reasonable rates?
From https://www.carpathiacu.mb.ca/Personal/Rates/USExchangeAndAccounts/
Balance $0 to $100.00 0.00%
$100.01 to $5000.00 0.10%
Over $5,000.01 1.00%
The 1% rate is better than Hubert's 0.75% rate, though it does not cover the first $5000.
Anyone know of any similar or better rates for US$ at other Canadian FIs?

Vision Statement:
The financial institution of choice for Manitoba's Ukrainian Community. If you live in MB and are of Ukrainian background, Carpathia may be just the place for you.
Ukrainian members can become voting shareholders and receive dividends. But anyone can join as an associate member. They were close bonded until the late 2000s.
Personally in my opinion..and why I left Ideal, is they still treat non-ukranians like outsiders... I felt it when dealing with them, but that's just my opinion.

I'm not Ukrainian and never felt I was treated differently, whatever that means - I think Marina is one of the best CSRs I've ever dealt with. Now if you want to speak of the wonky set-up at Ideal then you might have a point.
