On this forum it appears folks have linked accounts with Ideal and pushed/pulled funds from their external account (EFT) rather than using Ideal's AFT forms.

To those that have used EFT push/pull is there a fee charged on Ideal's end for an EFT in or out?

UPDATE: Got my question answered from Ideal directly. 3 free per month electronic withdrawals.

I have not incurred any fees on Ideal's end for any EFTs I have done, but I'm not sure I've had more than 3 in a month.

I incur no fees when pulling from Ideal to Simplii.

However I pulled from Ideal to Hubert and it was charged a $0.65 bill payment fee.... I never bothered to call and find out why or get it reversed, but I don't pull from Hubert now.

So just thought I would share my experience

The pulls from Hubert seem to be different. Those show up as miscellaneous payments on my RBC statements. Perhaps, they are coded like a preauthorized debit for a utility bill payment.

In contrast, the pulls from Tangerine Bank show up as an Inter-FI Fund Transfer.

Perhaps, Ideal charges for preauthorized debits for bill paying and not for debits for funds transfer?
