Hubert CSR informed me today by email that online statements for Sept. 30th are supposed to be available tomorrow, Oct. 13th.

Which is what they promised last week.

I also spoke to one CSR today, obviously someone from the the Access side of the merger. She was quite vocal about the craziness of the Hubert quarterly GIC's with people closing and flipping quarterly chasing rates and extension of rates. She was also quite clear in saying that she was not aware of any plan to reinstate any of our previous self-serve capabilities at Hubert ...

When it comes to Hubert matters, I understand we get better service & results by dealing with Hubert CSRs, rather than Access CSRs.

Hubert CSRs' phone number is still 1-855-448-2378

That Hubert number is the number I called. She was very pleasant and very efficient but obviously new to Hubert things.

BTW ... On hold for 18 minutes. 17.8 minutes longer than I ever experienced at Hubert, but still 20 minutes less than my average at Tangerine; and much more pleasant than Tangerine. sf-wink sf-wink

As for the GIC maturity instructions appearing to be Gone

What else is missing is that joint is not showing at GIC.
What I can see is ALL our GIC under my name. Spouse can see the same - ALL joint GIC under her name.
Agent says that statement will show who is primary and who is joint and T5 will have correct primary SIN on it.

Still, I suggest every client to track each account (paper, Excel, etc.) to be sure which is which.
My last call was handled by Access employee and as per Hubert agent (over chat) they are 'more knowledgeable than Hubert's'. AAgent complete my request with no hiccups and was very confident in task she was performing.

If they could only develop self-serving opening GIC life will be easier for everybody. Same as for push/pull from Access.

All of my GIC's defaulted to Joint with Accelerate and on the old Hubert you had to add your spouse to the GIC using their customer number and password.

But today......what way is it????

I imagine Hubert or Access is watching this thread. I hope they are making a list to publish. Or a list and answers for their CRS's.

Like since the changes.
What is different for an Accelerate customer?
What is different for a Hubert customer?
What is different for an Accelerate/Hubert customer?

This whole conversion is one big fricken mess!!!!

And I still say....!!Access!! look at what Oaken gives their customers for information when viewing a GIC be it joint, TFSA, RRSP or RRIF

Just made a list to verify alerts etc for all banking and credit cards.

Just did Hubert. There is NO option to choose to be notified by email that your monthly statement is ready. When you have 5 or 6 FI's, it is a worthwhile feature to have.

Hmm...

Well folks, this morning there is indeed at my online account a second Sept. 30 statement. (Curiously, the newest one actually appears second-last in my list of available 2023 statements.)

The good news:
- It is only 4 pages, not 17 like the other one.
- It is cleaner, clearer and easier to read, to a point.

Discouraging is...
- My RRIFs and our joint GIC accounts are all listed in one section called "Investments."
- All my RRIFs are listed first, in the same order I've put them when I renamed them.
- But then our six joint GIC accounts follow, and it appears the list is ordered according to maturity dates (soonest to latest).
- That results in accounts with my name first being mixed with my wife's accounts.
- And, the order is different from what I see online at the "View Accounts" tab when I am online (after renaming and re-ordering our accounts.)

Summary...
- I like the cleaner look, and the fewer pages.
- I'd prefer separate categories for 1) registered accounts and 2) non-reg'd GICs.
- I'd prefer a statement having that separate GIC category, and which shows GICs with my name first, followed by the GICs with my wife's name first.

These are inconveniences, likely rebutted by comments from their IT dept about "that's how the software does it." Nevertheless, I thought I'd post these reactions and my preferences.

From my perspective:
The merger is a fubar. The new web site is a disaster (missing important info, not all account types have been synced, crazy slow). The wait times on the phone are insane. The support messaging is a total failure. If they wanted to lose clients than this is the way to go.

My point being.....with a fairly up to date web site with "selectable" alerts ... why not a choice to be advised!

Their new platform has many options to give us MORE!

Is Hubert that naive to think that we only bank at Hubert?

Long time reader.

Reading the litany of whining and moaning over the past 20 pages had me worried but I've had zero issues.

I've contacted Hubert twice on the phone since the merge to redeem and renew quarterly terms. Both times the wait was under five minutes, the process to confirm my ID took longer than the actual action required by the CSR. The latest was yesterday to see if I could put in instructions for Sunday to redeem and renew, or if I would have to wait until Monday. No problem said the CSR. I had the product ID I wanted redeemed, and the amount to be used for a new one. Took seconds for her to accomplish. Will see on Sunday if it worked.

The online system worked perfectly on login and setup. The only hiccup I had was I had to cease my auto-deposit of e-transfers at my regular bank. When it didn't work at first, I sent in a contact form submission and got a fix from Hubert that evening via email.

The interest credits for September was resolved without any action required on my part. Maybe being patient helped. I suspect any other issues will also likely be helped by just waiting.

All in all, zero complaints. YMMV.

Hi..I just had to find this thread through a very round about way. Is not showing in recents.

So just downloaded the Sept 13 statements. Have not yet reviewed.
From 48 pages down to 16 pages.......what can I say.

BUT

Now I have showing from May on 2 statements for every month!! Why????

Just did a mini review. Is better...why was this not the first version though??? Seems to be a very sloppily thought conversion. I guess Manitoba is not the financial capital of Canada. Never the less it needs to be much more informative to keep me at Hubert. ie mention joint (with) and mention successor to each GIC.

.

    'Amen' to that

They're going to have their hands full, bringing Hubert back up to speed to where it was. I'm guessing it could take them half a year, or more.

Time will tell ... And fingers crossed,

True but I want start by going back to what was that drew us to Hubert then get better. And I suspect Access wouldn't mind getting Hubert's assets back to where they were ...
