Well the online chat just said call Hubert but they have a power outage but email did work and this is what they said about the missing interest on HISA

We are aware that some member accounts may not have received their interest payment for the month of September following our integration. We are actively investigating the cause and are working to post interest to your accounts as soon as possible. Rest assured that you will receive your interest in full, as expected. In addition, due to a severe weather system in Manitoba, the Hubert Financial office has experienced a power outage. We are unable to support members until power is restored. We apologize for the inconvenience and will share updates on our website at happysavings.ca as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your membership, HUBERT FINANCIA

Thanks for the info BillyBob. I'll restrain from over-friskiness and stomping as I'm sure they'll fix it ...

Indeed. Their first day back after long weekend and month-end interest glitch. It'll get fixed ...

Has anyone seen anyplace on the site where they explicitly display the Interac e-transfer limits? The FAQ says "Standard limits apply.", and when I put in $99999 as the value, the resulting screen just says "...you have exceeded the maximum transfer amount per transaction. Check your limits...". Other sites I've seen show the day/week/month limits, and usually how much you have left on each one.

If anyone is using Safari on MacOS (I've got 16.4 on Ventura 13.3) with the site, I've noticed a couple of cases where it seems to break down. Entering that $99999 value for an Interact transfer just went back to the home page, as did clicking on the "Add autodeposit" button on the "Autodeposit settings" page. It appears they have some unhappiness in some of their Javascript. The same things seem to work on iOS 15 Safari.

And add to that , power outages due to sever storms in Manitoba ... According to an email I just received from Hubert.

Not to worry ... it'll all come out in the wash. sf-wink

BTW, FWIW my own Hubert HISA accounts (non-reg, TFAA) had their interest posted Sept 30 as expected. Also, a bunch of my accounts, include non-reg and TFSA 1-year GICS (but not my 5-year non-reg GIC) had little offsetting 1 cent deposit and withdrawal for Sept 23, labelled "Correcting Sweep Entry - Credit" (and "Debit"). Presumably they either had a little glitchy, or more likely they used that to trigger and test the accounts as part of the changeover.

We had the same +/- $0.01 on our 4 TFSA GIC's. All HISA's (non-reg & TFSA) and non-reg GIC's were untouched.

I just tried linking my Access ( not Hubert ) chequing account to my EQ account, from within EQ, using EQ's manual process. Seemed to work ok, but will have to verify tomorrow once the micro deposits arrive at Access.

Plaid doesn't work for external account linking for transfers, at least on Tangerine. If you want to use for transfers, you'll still need to use micro-deposits.

Update: my transfer out, pushed by phone call to Hubert on Thurday morning, has landed in my other account tonight. Was a long wait to confirm it completed, but with the holiday weekend, 2 business days is not bad.

I am glad I'm not a Hubert rep right now. Take a system conversion with loss of features, add in missing interest payments, add a holiday delay, and top it off with a power outage on the day back... there will be a lot of angry folk on the phones. Go easy on them please, all this crap isn't their choice or fault, but they have to mop up after it.

We'll see.

I have a GIC anniversary date on October 3rd.

Not going to be happy if I only receive 11 days interest!

Happy to report I did receive the expected interest today, and the rate shown in the app bumped up to the next level (it's the quarterly GIC)

So, GICs appear to be tracking correctly!

For those missing Hubert HISA for Sep 01-22/24 interest, mine got fixed with a "Interest Adjustment-Deposit" entry late Oct 3.

(I had sent them an online message on Oct 2. They replied early Oct 3 advising their awareness of the issue. Fixed late Oct 3.)

Hubert agents are one of the NICEST ever agents I encountered dealing with Canadian FI.
I ALWAYS praise them when talking to them hoping somebody listens and/or records our conversations. Even sent few email thanking them for superb service.

- HISA Interest has been corrected.
- Instructions for GIC 3-months payout given (as payout falls on weekend). Will be interesting to see what happens on Monday as promised...

In regards to HISA interest.
If your account has had no activity other than interest payments.... was your September interest payment higher or lower than your August interest payment?

Interest wasnt posted to my rrif variable account either, i just called them after i got the email that all interest is posted to accounts and they told me they have just done the savings accounts, i wont see my rrif variable account interest for a few days. Of all the things to go wrong at conversion, id say missing interest doesnt look good on Hubert.

How many more ooops’s will there be??
Jeepers! I have a RRIF HISA too.
Do we have to watch our GIC maturity values too...for the next 5 years?

I wonder where Larry Davey, President & CEO, Access Credit Union is right now.

It would be a big mess if you were transferring out an RIF to buy a GIC elsewhere.

Among other issues, I noticed that on their FAQ, it now says they will only link up to 3 external accounts. For now at least, you can keep the ones you had but this will not be attractive to newcomers. They obviously still have the capacity to allow more, but have chosen not to. It seems they want to hold our money captive for as long as possible.

To add insult to injury, at least one of their pages now labels my HISA as a chequing account. Would that Hubert actually offered cheques, to circummvent the 10K limit.!

The only thing left at Hubert that is potentially worthwhile is the quarterly one year GIC., but I am getting much better rate right now in savings at 3 different FIs, so why bother? - at least for non-registered.

If I were Larry Davey, I'd be out looking ofr another job asap.

My plan at present is to give them untilk year end to clean up their act in a seriousway. And I think they need to let us in on profit sharing - should there be any..

Boy, am I relieved that I withdrew and transferred all my deposits before the September 22-24 Hubert Digital Disaster AKA Mutt & Jeff Credit Union.

The writing was on the wall from the start, and unfortunately Access has swallowed one of the premier online financial institutions to make it into a regressive fumbling laughingstock.

Hubert’s etransfer limits according to the rep I spoke to today:

Maximum of $20,000 per month.
Maximum of $10,000 per day (or week?) (maximum single etransfer amount of $6,000). If you reach the $10k limit in a day, you must wait 7 days to send more.

(This may have been already posted. There are a lot of posts in this thread. sf-smile)
