Never the less it’s a poor job to not include the original purchase amount.

That is why I never rely on somebody's else tracking and showing transactions on my account.
I track Every GIC in a little Excel sheet where I can see what, when, how much, etc.

Yup. Excel for all. And cell comments, if needed.
AND screen prints on file of all current and matured GICs.

I tried to link my new Access accounts from my Tangerine account, but failed. I tried several times, and got this message every time.

I just tried linking my Access ( not Hubert ) chequing account to my EQ account, from within EQ, using EQ's manual process. Seemed to work ok, but will have to verify tomorrow once the micro deposits arrive at Access.

pooreva's got it right. Learn to use spreadsheets or keep a ledger book. You never want the other party to be the only keeper of records.

Of course, your records will never be recognized as "authentic" unless you received them from the financial institution. Like monthly statements.

Interesting that Canada's federal government and a number of indigenous entities are now squabbling over who keeps original treaties between them, eh? Why didn't they make copies for all? Didn't the US Declaration of Independence get copies signed by the original signatories?

Hey, remember bank passbooks? Both sides got records that had to agree. This is why I won't go paperless.

Forgot to mention. I also keep all my statements in PDF format and have numerous years of them. And my iMac is constantly being backed up using time machine.

Indeed. I keep all monthly statements and trade confirmations in PDF form, and backed up to the cloud. There is zero need for paper.

I'm officially out of Hubert

Was fun while it lasted, have my account at Access but unless my linked accounts come back I can't see myself going back. I'm not going through all that again, I think I had 4 or 5 accounts linked and moving money was a breeze.

So I'll keep my eyes open by logging in once in a while but I don't give out much hope.

So far the mergers in the CU environment has given us less features not more.

For your savings account or quarterly GIC?
Either way call them. They need to be inundated due to their failure to do it right. But keep in mind if you are/were an Accelerate customer too, that they are showing 2 HISA accounts.

My HISA - I am going to call see what they say

Your linked accounts are still there and you can push/pull from Hubert BUT you have to call; no more self-serving on-line banking (for the time being).
You can still push/pull from other FI with no issues.

At least they could show us what accounts we have linked. I have so many accounts I forget if I linked chequing or savings.

Yup I think so too. Behind the upbeat talk that’s good for Accelerate customers only ..... behind the nicely wrapped box with pretty bows and ribbons is a big boogy man lurking about and ready to slowly drop the hatchet on products, employees and customers. I’ve seen it before, the good ride is over. Hubert, I imagine, must have been a good place to work for.....I feel sorry for the great folks that I have had the pleasure to deal with. It just seems to be a hassle to shop, bank and dine out no matter how hard you try.

Managed to get Hubert on chat and was told that short-changed interest on HISA for Sep is a "known issue" and that they're "looking into it".

For some reason that happens often there, that is, if they are still running out of the Selkirk office. The prairies can have unique weather issues any time of the year.

I hope a lot of people here (Hubert clients and everyone else) take this as a learning moment.

Please set aside some time to document in whatever way is best for you (spreadsheet, text document, paper):

1. Where your accounts are: FI, Account Type, Account No, etc.

2. What the contact points are: App, web site, login info, phone number, etc.

3. What your transfer linkages are in detail: FI, Account Type, Account No, Method (App, web site, phone) etc. Don't forget direction since for example when dealing with Oaken you can only initiate transfers from with Oaken.

The interest I got was only for the days 22-30 of September - I'm hoping they are going to correct that

Well the online chat just said call Hubert but they have a power outage but email did work and this is what they said about the missing interest on HISA

We are aware that some member accounts may not have received their interest payment for the month of September following our integration. We are actively investigating the cause and are working to post interest to your accounts as soon as possible. Rest assured that you will receive your interest in full, as expected. In addition, due to a severe weather system in Manitoba, the Hubert Financial office has experienced a power outage. We are unable to support members until power is restored. We apologize for the inconvenience and will share updates on our website at happysavings.ca as soon as we have more information. Thank you for your membership, HUBERT FINANCIA

Good to hear. Was it a known mistake? If yes, was the intention to let it ride or to remedy? And why Isn’t Hubert advising us of issues and resolutions? And how many customers are totally unaware that should be informed?

Hey Hubert!!! Are you using us as your failure advisors?

Please write your comments in the forum.
