    Our daily savings and term rates are decreasing on Thursday, October 8.

    Our new rates will be:

    Daily savings - 1.40%
    .
    1-year term - 1.50% average
    2-year term - 1.55%
    3-year term - 1.65%
    4-year term - 1.70%
    5-year term - 1.90%

A 10 bps decrease except for the five year term:

Daily savings - 1.40% (-0.10%)
1-year term - 1.50% average (-0.10%)
2-year term - 1.55% (-0.10%)
3-year term - 1.65% (-0.10%)
4-year term - 1.70% (-0.10%)
5-year term - 1.90%

That's good news for people on the 5 yr GIC ladder, since they renew each year for 5 year GIC
