If one's only losing one week's interest, it will almost certainly be more profitable to cash and repurchase.

gave Hubert instruction to cash out one of the 1y quarterly GIC today. Based on system, looks like its roll forward ?? Now have to call them to confirm whats being done.
Their new 1y quarterly start at 2.1% vs 1.85%, so all of you that has the 1y quarterly rolling should at the minimum roll into a new 1y. My money is leaving them for greener pasture.

looks like their system updated now and the redemption was successfully transferred to the HISA and I am able to transfer it out myself.

Rate Update

Effective Friday, April 22, our rates (both registered and non-registered) are changing, including our daily savings rate. The daily savings rate can be applied to TFSA, RRSP, and RRIF products.

New daily savings rate (effective April 22)

1.70% (previously 1.50%)

New term rates (effective April 22)

1-year term - 2.25% average (NO CHANGE)

2-year term - 2.30%

3-year term - 2.60%

4-year term - 3.10%

5-year term - 3.35%
