I can't believe it took them 3 weeks to open my account!

They seem to have snail-mail issues. Took about that long for me as well. Seems like the postman only delivers a couple times a week. After that, I paid Motive to put my registered transfers in a 2 day envelope and they got it overnight. Only other issue is their web site is a bit old fashioned and doesn't have as many capabilities as others have. Definitely not a bank I'd use for everyday banking. Their app is more up to date. The CSRs and chat feature are quite good. Opened with them as I like their rates and RSP/RIF flexibility. I said no FI checks all the boxes, but these guys are easy to work with and I LOVE that 1 year redeemable quarterly GIC.

They're worth the wait.

The only things I don't like about Hubert are the layout of their monthly statements, which I have to re-learn every month; and the lack of any kind of one-year GIC for RIFs.
Didn't somebody report recently that they are changing their website?

What would you prefer?
- Fancy-shmancy web site with a lot of ads, java and adobe BS, 15 minutes wait for clueless reps and 1.5% interest with miserly $100,000 insurance OR
- Bare-bone web site with 2.5-3.1% interest with extremely friendly, efficient and knowledgeable reps with unlimited insurance?

So stop bitching and keep moving $$$ to the best bank in Canada. And NO, this is not FI for your daily transactions; it is primarily SAVING FI so do not mix losers with winners.
