Exactly as I predicted earlier that they would do in March! Maybe I'm finally learning how these things work!

It's good for registered accounts (RRSP, TFSA etc), but not very helpful for non-registered accounts since we can probably always find better savings account rates, e.g. Motive 2.8%, Duca 3%, LBC 2.8% and Tangerine 2.75% now for non-registered accounts.

This is a very good rate for a GIC that is cashable quarterly. I expect interest rates to come down this Wednesday when Bank of Canada makes their announcement, so this is probably worth jumping on.

Are you dreaming with open eyes? Tangerine 2.75%. When? Where? In your dreams? If you are relying on random, idiotic offers, selected few receive, you buddy live in a dream world.
I just checked your Duca. It is LIMITED time offer.

Hubert has legitimate redeemable GIC; not limited time, only for you my friend if snow fall is 30cm on March 1st on leap year.

Next time compare apples with apples and do not confuse people with BS offers

While we are all entitled to express our opinions, I don't think the tone of the above comments is appropriate!

Right, Tangerine is not 2.75% but 3% for me now. All my funds are in DUCA (3%), Tangerine (3%), Motive (2.8%) and LBC (2.8%) now, not any 1 year GIC. Oh, I have some funds in some 3.25% to 3.75% 3,4,5 year GICs. This is how I chase the rate and invest my money.

Awesome davidgeorge...that's the way to play the game, but watch out, you may end up in a higher tax bracket...lol.

Tangerine....Canada's best bank. LBC.............Canada's 2nd best bank.
Hubert.....worst bank in Canada.
