Hi:

I'm trying to pay a bill, but receiving the error:
The account selected is not active. Please choose another account or contact us for assistance.

Of course, it's Easter day weekend, so I can't contact them for at least 3 more days. .

Does anyone know what's causing this?

Have you used Hubert to pay bills in the past? According to the FAQs, it isn't an option.

"Can I make a bill payment with my Hubert account(s)?

As the funds invested in Hubert products are intended to grow long-term (you know, without the high-volume withdrawals that come with operational demand accounts), we don’t offer bill payments on our products."

I have never tried to pay a bill from Hubert so I have no personal knowledge of this.

Hubert has never had a bill paying option. I think it shows up in the menu because you would be allowed to pay bills from an Access bank account if you had one. The Access website shouldn’t be making that option available to those who only have Hubert accounts.

Hubert have never had the options to pay bills or issue cheques.
The reason you are seeing features that do not apply to Hubert, is because,
when Access CU took over Hubert/Sunova accounts, rather than leaving things
as they were with software that worked very well, they made the decision to integrate Hubert customers into their existing Access CU software and then apply software restrictions to prevent Hubert customers from doing what you just attempted to do.
Access CU acquired Sunova/Hubert assets, with no intension of giving Hubert customers back a use friendly website that works!

Some Hubert members now were members of online-only AcceleRate Financial.

The savings account from AcceleRate Financial had a debit card, cheques, and bill payments. Access CU decided to keep Hubert and move the AcceleRate members to Hubert.

I think one would have access to bill payments as a Hubert member if one was an AcceleRate member before.

The functionality at Hubert was unparalleled and exactly what the bare minimum for every bank should be based on today. Send to any account input your own institution and transit / account number and it actually flowed. I fear the fees that may come soon with Accelerate.

It would have been really nice if a few perks like this could have been offered (which would have cost Access nothing... we have been forced onto their banking system anyhow) to offset the loss of convenience after they shut down Sunova's excellent interface. But nope.... I predict after enough of us pull our funds out, Access will claim that Hubert is too small to maintain, and convert the remaining members to Access' standard offerings.
