Another chance to let Hubert know about our concerns . . .

Like some here, I don't usually participate in surveys like this, but this time I did. Hubert has made some positive improvements lately (a Good thing), but they still have a ways to go.

That was emailed to me a month ago.
Please note give it a 1 or give it a 10 it only leads to allowing them to contact you.

Last speaking to a couple of the fantastic ladies there...I detect they are not happy.

Is this a last chance to foil the merger by Hubert? But would have not Hubert been ok with the merger with Accelerate? Something odd here?

The CEO of Sunova (parent CU of Huber) seemed enthusiastic about the merger when I watched him talk about it.
The staff were all guaranteed jobs.
No, it cannot be rescinded now.

Loonie is right ... like it or not, the three-way Manitoba CU merger (amalgamation) has long since been a Done Deal. As my Daddy used to
say; "There ain't no goin' back now ❗" sf-wink

As for Hubert Financial (Sunova's subsidiary), it's beginning to look like it will survive the merger, and still exist in it's preset form.

As for AcceleRate Financial (Access's subsidiary), it's anyone's guess. Some people think it will be folded into Hubert ... time will tell.

What did they do to RIF's?

And I've never had anything but excellent customer service at Hubert, although I should say that my business there is with non-registered accounts.

Just got the email and looks like ACCESS will be the surviving name, not Hubert. More change announcements to come they say. Nothing to worry about, right?

That's correct: Sunova CU, Noventis CU, and Access CU will merge July 1. The merged credit unions will continue under the Access name.

The fate of the online divisions, Hubert Financial and AcceleRate Financial, will be decided later.

We can Bet that the fates of Hubert & AcceleRate have Already been decided. But for the time being, they're choosing Not to tell us what those fates are.

Interesting ❗ sf-confused

I have been a happy Hubert client for a few years now.

They recently made some fixes to a few problems to their now 1 year old (I think) online system. I take that to mean that hopefully the Hubert online banking system will prevail. Since I'm not a customer of the other two CU's I don't know if that is good or not.

I'm also hopeful that the Hubert product offering and customer service experience will remain ...

Thought I would update here

I did two GIC's quarterly for the 1 year interest rate.

I had to call to have the amounts put into my savings and I got through direct to an agent with no hold time. I instructed the agent to move both GIC's to savings in two days when they became due.

When I checked two days later one was moved and one was not. Called in and was told the amount was too high and a supervisor had to get involved and they would call me right back when done.

I said no need, I will see it online when it complets and 20 minutes later it was done.

I have said this a few times in the past, the customer service is incredible at hubert but the guy that answered said Sunova and he said it all goes to the same place.

So even with the Sunova stuff at the same call center the service was still outstanding.

No more free everything at Hubert then!! And if the phone rep is not up to date on “what is” and “what was”.....don’t expect an exceptional experience as you have had in the past. Accelerate has been part of Access for awhile.....ATM cards expire when not used for a period of time. While we have a huge sum there....they won’t replace my wife’s ATM card. Desiree says we can use phone app to deposit and mentioned that an ATM withdrawal costs $1. So how do we get immediate cash in hand??? What a dumb a$$ response that was! Just that one experience pi$$es me off, to leave. My banking at Hubert and Accelerate is positioned in a way that both accounts can be easily phased out as GICs mature. This merger would have had a lot of well worded comments for the customer and the employees.....that appear as promises but are “Southern (USA) Baptist Minister” like comments. Seen it all before.

I have been with Hubert for 7 years and I recently noticed that the last few times I called, the customer service rep answered saying "Sunova". Hubert is a division of Sunova but up until recently was never mentioned by the agents. Must have something to do with the upcoming merger.

I got a live person in 3 rings and they call back as promised if they need to check on something.

Last time I called Simplii I waited 45 minutes

So the incredible service combined with the no cap insurance keeps me happy.

They need to come up to 2% in interest on the savings account though.
I expect that to happen soon.
