The website of Street Capital only states their GIC's can be bought from brokers, but none is listed.
Anyone know of a broker that sells their GIC's in Eastern Ontario?

"Street Capital Bank of Canada offers Guaranteed Investment Certificates to investors across Canada through a network of Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) regulated deposit dealers."
"Street Capital’s GICs are eligible for deposit insurance protection from the Canadian Deposit Insurance Corporation (CDIC)."
"Cashable GICs are available for a one year term with interest paid at maturity, with an option to redeem after 90 days with interest paid at the contract rate for the number of days invested"
Non-redeemable GICs are available for 1 to 5 year terms with a variety of interest payment options

I tried to buy some through my RBCDS account (they are an IIROC member as is everyone else), and couldn't.

I suspect that only select brokers have access. I've sent inquiries to a few brokers I know to get their response on Street Capital, but was hoping someone on the Forum might have first hand insights.
Wonder why their website is so cryptic as to sources of availability...

That's a tough row to hoe....all those names and most are brokerages that won't even talk to you unless you have a brokerage account with a bunch of stock/bond assets with them. For what it is worth, brokerages make up their own mind which issuers they want to deal with. It's not that every IIROC dealer has to offer anything from anybody.
I'd either try a Deposit Broke http://www.rdba.ca/find-a-broker/ or ask Street Capital directly about which GIC brokers handle these.

It seems Street Capital Bank is a new player and has been a bank since February 2017. Has been in business since 2007. See About

Is there reason for concern that they appear to be heavily weighted in mortgages in Toronto, Calgary and Vancouver?
