I opened a five year GIC yesterday at 4.05% . I spoke with the CSR on Monday and he said you better do it now because rates gonna drop.

Exactly, it's what (plus CDIC, of course) I'm counting on as a loyal customer, that financial support from their well-heeled foreign backers.

Do not exceed CDIC limits with this bank, been said on here many times.
