Similar at BMO InvestorLine.

4.93% one year GIC's from Bank of Montreal, BMO Trust, and BMO Mortgage.

4.82% two year GIC's from Concentra Bank and Equitable Trust.

That upward creep suggests perhaps a higher demand for variable rate and/or 1-2 year term mortgages? Or a need to improve liquidity ratios? Perhaps anticipating a 25bp BoC rate increase in June or July?

That is about 20 bp higher than a 2 year Equitable Bank GIC bought by my spouse at RBC DI just a month ago.
