The past few days, a few comparison sites, namely Ratesupermarket and Ratehub have indicated Omnia Direct at paying 3.1% for a 1 Yr GIC.

Today an email from WFCU, the parent of the online Omnia Direct advertised 3.1% for a 1 yr GIC and today, Omnia Direct updated its own website to reflect the updated 3.1% for a 1Yr GIC.

Omnia Direct accepts investors online, apparently from across Canada, whereas WFCU requires a personal visit to one of their branches.

They appear to be happy with "old money" sf-cool

The website may need to be corrected as of this morning, however. I called to inquire about TFSA GIC, and it seems their webmaster copy / pasted the ad from the WFCU website that advertises TFSA, RRSP and RRIF, none of which have been offered by Omnia.

The CSR is checking, but is seems to be an error...the rate is correct though for non registered funds only at Omnia.

I see what you mean. I wasn't really expecting registered plans. Mine are all locked up til next year anyway.
