How many basis points per gic they sell is it 25bps or .50 basis points?

In the case of Duca they are offering 2.8% for one year so is Gic wealth a broker. Could someone therefore ask duca for an extra quarter point or more for buying direct?

Right now, GICWealth only shows 2.7 for DUCA, except, oddly, for RIF (2.8).
Even so, there is a minimum of 25K.

However, if you want to try this, why don't you just go ahead and report the result? That would be providing some actual information.

The customary deposit brokerage commission is ¼% (25 bps) for each year of the GIC's term. Deposit brokers can give up some of the 25 bps in return for a higher rate on the GIC sold.

One could ask. But, that 25 bps per annum could also be what the branch is credited for selling the GIC. The branch would need motivation to hand that 25 bps over to the GIC investor.
