Seeing this post I recalled a 4 year last week of 5.4%. After looking the GIC up to see if it's still valid it actually increased.

BNS 4year 5.45%

BNS is quite aggressive raising funds recently. They are leading in ISA's (A & F series) , The above rate, Tangerine with the 6 percent promo and the that mic. drop of rate for 1yr (5.95%), 1.5yr (6%). I know there Quaterly results missed the mark last week. Is this something to be concerned with. They really want our money as apposed to say Alterna whose in fact doing the opposite .
