

Brokerage gic rates

I was just looking at gic rates for td direct investing and they are pretty good. 2 year is 2.75 and 3 year is 3% for equitable bank. I guess the trade off is it is 25.00 for partially withdrawing your rrsp. Still its nice to have everything together. I guess equitable may end up decreasing their rates down the road too.

The customary brokerage commission for a GIC is ΒΌ% for each year of the term of the GIC.
The Equitable Bank GIC rates (through a deposit broker) compared to the EQ Bank GIC rates (direct to consumer) appear to reflect that.
