This may have been asked and answered already, and if so, please let me know or move my comment to an appropriate thread. I'm interested in signing up for a Hubert account, but am wondering what the best option is given that Hubert has been folded into Sunova Credit Union, Noventis Credit Union, and Access Credit Union merger. Still best to apply to Hubert? Or the new Access Credit Union? The GIC rates are the same with the exception of the one year, which is lower at Access. Any thoughts appreciated...thanks in advance.

Just go ahead and sign up with Hubert.
Eventually, Access CU will decide how it wants to proceed with online banking, but that will not be immediate.
When they decide, your Hubert account will be part of whatever comes next.

I joined Hubert just over a month ago and the service and professionalism I received was better than anything I have ever had at any other bank. Their one year laddered GIC in 3-month increments is a unique product in the current banking landscape and I am a big fan.

I agree. One doesn't have to keep the funds in the Hubert one-year term deposit for the twelve months.

One can call in and cash it after three months to collect 4.1% per annum for the three months.
