George Bailey owned and operated a small credit union, called "Bailey's Building and Loan". It had a real family feel and it prided itself on helping local residents, unfortunately during a financial crisis the business ran into trouble. So it is kinda like the stock market, when the market is booming, you can't go wrong, just throw a dart to pick a name. In troubled times, the cream always rises to the top.

Damn you Mr Potter.

"Bailey's Building and Loan" once had a promotion for ringing a bell.

Now i'm confused.

Semi-retired and Norman1, are the two of you referring to Bailey's building and loan?

Moral of the story: Don't give $8,000 to someone that can't remember what was in their hand a second ago.
