Is anyone taking any precautions, or have any advice, now that Trump has been elected. I must admit to some apprehension regarding what may happen over the next four years (hopefully not 8).

Gordon Pape had an article about this in the Toronto Star yesterday. There was nothing surprising in it if you're acquainted with DT's perspective. I thought the focus of the article was narrow, but I guess it's what we should expect from Pape

The more sanctions he takes against Canada that prevent all levels of governments from fulfilling their plans at their projected costs to provide us with long awaited benefits and improvements the more disapproving Canadians should be towards him and the USA. If we see our costs rising because of his actions hopefully Canadian politicians won't be bullied and we should reconsider US purchases and travel to USA "if" he affects our pocket books. I wonder how many Americans that are protesting are in the 43% group of non voters.

First hit seems to be increased mortgage rates.

Planning to target.
Canadian lumber
Canadian beef
BC "only" wine sales in super markets

Ps. If we are lucky he won't make the 4 year mark as they say the republicans may self implode. Let's hope.
