I was cruising through my news sources this morning and found this good little BNN article & vid on how it's such a good time for savers now.
There's nothing really new in it for most of us here, but I thought I'd share as it makes for a good read/view ...
Well worth the 9 or 10 minutes.

I have watched her show. I turn down the volume but still wish for sub-titles ... 🙂

Yup ... One has to wonder. With that voice, how did she got that job in the first place, and how does she manage to keep it ❓

Some annoying voices improve with cutting the high-frequency tones. Your TV may have a "speech" setting - try turning it off. On most computers, one can use a band-filter to reduce frequencies over about 8KHz.

Didn't find anything annoying with her voice. Her presentation seemed slightly less confident than maybe Sandie Rinaldo or some veteran reporter, but nothing wrong with her voice.

I am new, but my understanding is that this is a financial discussion forum.
A discussion of someones voice, particularly female voice by men is completely inappropriate here.

These are some of the best financial forums available, and are populated with a good number of knowledgeable people. You made a good choice!
As for your other comments ... you're a bit Off Base. As in most all other forum sites, the conversations can often drift off subject. It can be a bit annoying at times, but in the end no real harm is done.
And just so you're aware, if the 'She' some of us were talking about was a 'He', I can assure you that most of the comments would have been ... A Lot Saltier.

Also, althisa, you may be unaware but there is a moderator on here who determines what is or isn't "completely inappropriate" and takes appropriate action if needed. They do a bang up job, in my view.

"overpolicing" when someone on a financial forum makes fun of a female voice which is completely off topic?
This forum will need to do a lot of work in being more welcoming to female members.

I agree 100% with althisa that the comment on the host's voice and subsequent discussion were both unnecessary and inappropriate.
Since the thread doesn't contain any financial discussion, I am locking it, and might eventually delete it completely.
Please write your comments in the forum.
