Access to personal CRA accounts is available as of this morning, thereby allowing account verification as well as ability to change login credentials.
A two step authentication process has been introduced requiring identification of two pages of visual images (cars, planes, motorcycles) after entering username and password.
Changes to login credentials are made from the intermediate page that reports on the previous login (CRA login and security options), and not from within the CRA account, so if you are within your account, you need to log out and log back in to view the "CRA login and security options" page. Click on "Manage CRA Security Options"

Well ... it's Monday, but still No Luck.I can get into 'My Service Canada Account' (via the GCKey), but the CRA 'My Account' is still not available ... and there is no indication when it will be available ❗
I guess we all just get to sit back, and wait.

Today you can log in to 'My Service Canada Account' only through your bank log in...

Not sure what you're talking about. CRA login works just fine - tested it on Aug 20.
What they're saying is that things are fixed enough that you can log into a CRA MyAccount directly to view your CRA info, but if you try to cross over into your Service Canada account (normally accessible simply by clicking on the link button down in the bottom right hand corner of the page), that feature has been temporarily disabled... which in turn means that if you want or need to access your Service Canada account, the only way in at the moment is to come through the partner sign-on function

Yes ... I just found that out too.
So does anyone know why they removed the 'GCKey' access ... and if and when they'll be bringing it back ❓

Because it was GCKey that was hacked in the first place. As for when it's going to come fully back online, that's probably still an open question.
https://globalnews.ca/news/7281074/cra-hack-online-services/
The first and largest attack targeted GCKey accounts, which allow Canadians to access services like Employment Insurance (EI); My Service Canada accounts; Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada accounts; and veterans programs. The attack may have allowed hackers to access 5,600 CRA My Accounts.
The second attack took place last week when hackers took advantage of a “vulnerability in security software, which allowed (the hackers) to bypass security questions and gain access,” Annette Butikofer, the chief information officer at the CRA, said during a news conference on Monday.
The third attack occurred over the weekend, prompting the CRA to suspend online services while it assessed the breach. Any “link” between CRA My Accounts and My Service Canada accounts was also temporarily disabled, officials said.

.
Update . . .
The 'GCKey' access to the My Service Canada Accounts is available again. But to complete the new login process, you must answer three security questions.
However, the link between My Service Canada Account and the CRA My Account is Still unavailable ... and there's no word, as to when it will be available.
Carpe Diem,

By the way, CRA mandatory implemented new multi-factor authentication feature (a one-time passcode that is sent via text message or landline) only for some taxpayers (personal and business), not all taxpayers.
The multi-factor authentication feature used with CRA login, Sign-In Partner login and BC Services Card.
I was selected for this multi-factor authentication, but I also know 2 people, who continue to use "My Account" without multi-factor authentication.
Strange, CRA don't provide more information regarding how many taxpayers were selected for this multi-factor authentication.
