What percent of those who rent out a room or two pay tax on rental income?

The ones who rent multiple properties?

The ones who bought n sold in the past secondary properties?

I have never rented anything but I think those who rent out of their primary property should NOT pay any tax. It is their main residential. They are already paying property tax, etc. No need for the government to grab more!!

Huh? What does municipal property tax have to do with income tax? Rental revenue is income. Failure to report the income and pay income tax on that is unfair to honest taxpayers. Regardless of who the landlord is, rental income is subject to income tax.
