I recently opened this savings account promising 4.25%. The account has major restrictions and limitations. For one thing push limits are low, no cheque deposits, and more.
What I was wondering if we can receive a wire transfer (not EFT) deposited directly into the savings account without first going into the spending account which warns zero interest. Also what are the limits for the wire transfer? Some FI's are not allowing EFT (external linking to PC because they can't produce a void cheque).
Similarly, can we use set-up a PAD via savings account? There are ridiculously long hold times trying to reach customer service. Furthermore, I've received misleading or incorrect information in the past from PC. I would prefer to hear actual experiences.
It's also important to mention that FI's like Tangerine and Simplii officially say PADs are exclusive to the chequing account not savings but that's not true.
