I've noticed that since the beginning of this year, pc financial doesn't seem to support cheque images anymore? The only reason I care is for tax (archiving) purposes for my rent cheques. Sometimes I don't get a receipt from the landlord. Also was so much easier to just download the pdf instead of having to scan it into my computer.
Or am I just imagining things? Maybe I should move over to the ing thrive chequing account 🙂

Must just be me that. Pc emailed me back (wow, so quick) and said that nothing has changed. Not sure what happened, but both my rent cheques show up as being labeled cheque #0 instead cheque #22, 23, 24...
They told me to check under the transaction history option. Same as if I just click on the no fee savings account and scroll through the recent transactions. Which is nothing 🙂 It would be pc financial that would scan them would it not?

Unlikely, actually. Cheque clearing, processing and imaging is done by a contracted third-party in Canada, generally Symcor or INTRIA Items. Scanned images would be delivered via online software to their customers (i.e., the banks) who then pipe them through to their e-channel platforms, I presume.
As for why your cheque number did not show up, it could just be a read error or an inputting error by PC Financial's overnight batch run.
Cheers,
Doug
