Looking to open a new savings account as my money isn't collecting much interest in a chequeings account, hoping someone could help me figure out where to put it for long term saving while able to pay my dept with it, school ect...

For savings accounts, study this chart in detail. Then check out the websites and threads for the ones that interest you the most. Pick the one that best suits your circumstances. A few do offer chequing or a companion chequing account. For some, you may still need an external account at a Big Bank.

I've been doing a lot research and am new to the forum, however, Tangerine and PC Financial seem to have good promotion rates right now. Still working through the discussions and need to check out the bank websites....
