Actually 52,000 public sector jobs increase in Ontario, private sector was down so total is 40K. Unions claim Ford is cutting civil service jobs. Deficits can pay for lots of jobs.

Health care and social service jobs are not necessarily public sector jobs.
When you cut back on public service jobs, people who can afford it are forced to go to the private sector for the help they need. Parents of kids with autism sure found that out, and some had to sell or remortgage their homes to make up for the cuts.
