I think I posted this a year ago.. Every single NFC tap enabled credit card is capable of having its last 5 transactions (dollar amount) read legally.. The next version of data company (or maybe just google) will begin using NFC readers to capture this data to gauge wealth of clients entering and exiting stores etc.. I'd build it right into security scanners personally..

I highly doubt that, technically and legally.
The contactless cards are not dumb data stores that transmit their contents to anyone or anything that asks.
It is also highly illegal, like surreptitiously making a copy of clients' driver licenses as they enter and exit stores.
It is not even legal for merchants to keep the credit card numbers and use them as customer ID's. That's why we have reward programs, like AIR MILES and Aeroplan, to provide a number that merchants can legally use as a customer ID.
