I did have one, at CIBC, last year, who was decent and respectful. I could hardly believe it.

Gotta love rookies. sf-laugh

Ridiculous idea imo, to ask for regulation or law for when "high" begins!

No need to ask for regulation or law.

Every person individually can decide when "high" begins.

"People experience things differently", our "supreme leader" says of groping allegations.

My experience, that it's completely false advertising, so I closed my accounts and stopped playing Simplii promo games.

"Up to". And EQ provides a footnote as to how it derived the 125x, they must have found a bank that pays .01% on an account.

Actually (and sadly), it was very easy for them to do that

For reference, see post #15 above.

Spouse put $100 into a TFSA savings at RBC in June in order to qualify for the promo on regular savings account. We didn't have any expectation of high performance for it, but, so far, it has not paid one penny of interest, thus negating the whole purpose of the account!
If the idea is to get you to open more accounts and use more of their services, it ain’t working.

Another funny example: I have a chequing account at TD which pays no interest and requires $5,000 minimum balance to avoid service charges. I get an email every month when my statement is available. It says:

Your Savings Account statement for the account ending in xxxx is now available for viewing.

Ha Ha. Now it's referred to as a "Savings Account".
