Peter, can we add a folder for First Ontario Credit Union? http://www.myownbank.ca/ & https://www.firstontariocu.com/Personal/BecomingAMember/

I have a feeling that we are going to hear a lot more from them. I actually particated in a Twitter Party recently (Jan 11th) sponsored by FOCU. Surprisingly enough, ING CEO Peter Aceto crashed that party and started spamming ING Direct messages! There was also at least one other ING staff member attending the tweet-up.

My point being, if the ING CEO attended a FOCU twitter party and was spewing ING Direct messages, they must believe that FOCU is a formidable adversary.

Thanks for the tip! As discussed in this thread, it seems to be available only to Ontario residents, but I might open a separate sub-forum if there's enough interest.

Very interesting marketing tactic by both FOCU and ING...

Thanks for the link, Peter. I had missed that post.

Yes, interesting. Twitter is receiving special attention from all the big companies in 2012. After all, how can you ignore the power of 300 million + users? Facebook (800 million users) has until now, received the majority of attention.

The other interesting marketing aspect is the trend for companies to set up separate websites for marketing purposes and, at least in appearance, to encourage and listen to customer feedback. This reminds me of Wind Mobile's Wireless Soapbox website.
