Man, reading a lot of the comments to the article makes me shake my head. Like the guy making 18% returns with a Managed Wealth Company !! what a genius !! See stuff like all the time in the response sections of Globeinvestor and the FP.

Sadly innumeracy and general ignorance of personal finance is rife in Canada. Makes me appreciate forums like this all the more.

Yep some people don't stay up to date etc.. The article is a touch misleading indicating Hubert is the only true fee free.. I don't recall PTC charging registered transfer fees yet..

Also a commentor thinks tangerine is fee free..

Maybe it's just me but to me a credit union is not a bank. E.g. one difference: credit union deposits are not covered under CDIC.
