I just found the following in TDs ISA fineprint: "Daily interest will be accrued beginning on the Business Day following the deposit in the TD ISA and ending on the Business Day on which the order to withdraw funds in the TD ISA is received from your Dealer."
Does this mean interest starting to accrue at T+2 (the day after settlement (T+1)) until trading day when units are sold?

Wow. Now I realized my strive to make the cut on Thursday is in vain & worst.
(Thu) Order before cut-off time
(Fri) Transaction date when new balance is recorded
(Sat) Earning interest (I used to think)
(Sun) Earning interest (I used to think)
(Mon) Earning interest
(Tue)
With the new light, interest is not earn until the following business day over the (possibly long) weekend

Wording is a bit ambiguous as to whether day of "deposit" means the day of the transaction order or the day of the transaction settlement. Could just be highlighting the effect of paying interest on the opening account balance instead of the closing account balance:
The interest payable by the Bank on the TD ISA is calculated daily on the opening credit balance and paid monthly by way of credit to the TD ISA on the last Business Day of each month.
The Scotiabank ISA's have similar wording:
… Interest is calculated daily on the opening balance of the Account, excluding the date of purchase, and is payable monthly byway of credit to your Account on the last Friday of each month or, if the last Friday of any month is a holiday, on the immediately preceding business day. …

Just curious about ISAs at various places. Anyone know of exceptions to these axioms?
- QTrade will sell you any ISA (except BMO's), and sells you the F-series (except TD).
- Whatever ISA access Questrade might provide, they charge their mutual fund commission, no ISA waiver? Bleh, use one of their free cash/MMF ETFS?
- Scotia iTrade will sell you their own F-series ISAs, and may(?) sell you third-party ISAs.
- No other brokerage will sell you F-series ISA.
- All ISAs are priced at $1, except TD and RBC at $10
- None of my ideas about Bath-buns are worth writing down

TDDI does sell F series, eg CIB238.

All MMF funds available through DIY discount brokerages are supposed to be trailer fee free now, whether called F series, or something else. The regulator says so.
ISAs do not fall under mutual fund rules so some discount brokerages will offer F series while others only offer A series. Hence why Norman1 is consistent with A series in the table. Each investor can seek out F series as they see

People are expecting another ¼% drop to be announced on September 4. One-month treasury bills are now 4.30%, down from the 4.47% they were at on July 24, the Bank of Canada's previous rate announcement.
July CPI inflation is 2.5%, inside Bank of Canada's target 1% to 3% band. Economy is slowing. Employment demand is down. People are finding it isn't as easy as it was before to find a job or switch jobs.
Things are meeting Bank of Canada's conditions for another rate cut.

September’s drop is highly likely.
The expectation is that BoC will cut the overnight rate each time in 3 consecutive meetings, so a fast 0.75% drop. Still, everything could change over the next 3 months, and the further we go the harder it is to predict inflation. The level of certainty various pandits are projecting right now for medium and long term predictions is directly proportional to how bad they are.
