Doesn't have to be deposits. Recurring $500+ per month of pre-authorized debits will also qualify for the 3% offer.

Good point. I forgot about that, as long as that's not $500 per PAD but, rather, $500 in cumulative PADs per month.

Recurring investment deposits from a brokerage account may also qualify, too.

Only the direct direct deposits and pre-authorized debits listed in EQ Bank Bonus Interest Offer Terms and Conditions are eligible to be considered for the offer.

Scotia iTRADE codes their bank account pre-authorized debits and direct deposits as 260 for "Investment (INV)" which does not qualify.

That's unfortunate, since people who have RRIFs and RRSPs with Scotia iTRADE would be excluded.

Curiously, they have permitted health & dental insurance company reimbursement direct deposits and charitable donation pre-authorized debits as qualifying debits and credits.

Cheers,
Doug
