Today’s tuneup is setting the stage for EQ’s rollout of the new TFSAs that we’re all anxiously awaiting:
Scheduled Maintenance: Nov 14, 2020
Online and Mobile Banking will be unavailable on Saturday, Nov. 14 from 7:00AM to 3:00PM EST due to scheduled maintenance.
During this time, our team will be working hard to make sure things in the back-end are all systems go for our new TFSAs and RSPs, which are set to launch later this year.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and thank you for your patience.

Hmmm ... I didn't get that ⬆ last email from them. Maybe because I have very little $$$ with them right now. I can only guess.
I wonder if they'll have Registered SA's, to go along with their new Registered GIC's ... time will tell ❗

P.S.
I just finished logging into my EQ account ... EQ is back up, and running again.

. . . But then again, I'm not so sure this is much of anything to get excited about, at least for the time being.
When they're activated (next month?), EQ's Registered GIC rates will likely be the same as their Non-registered GIC rates ... and those rates right now, are well into the 'Bottom' half of the chart:
I'm glad to see that EQ will soon add TFSAs & RSPs to their lineup, but their present GIC rates are Uninspiring.

I too have been thinking about that. I mostly do GICs for TFSA so at the moment it’s WealthONE for TFSA, but perhaps EQ witll offer something to get their new product off to a bustling start.

I wonder how many of these it will take?
Keep calm, and carry on...

There is no access now, and the message is still the one that says they would be back at 9:30am this morning.
I don't recall getting any notice of this downtime, which i think they could have and should have given as it's "scheduled", according to them.
Did anyone else receive notice?
I was going to transfer-in a significant amount today, so it's costing me money as the outgoing account is not interest-bearing. Not a happy camper.
