Cheque for $121 deposited as $1.01.

You may already know this but you can edit the amount of the cheque you are depositing. Just tap the amount it comes back with and type in the actual value.

I recently tried the ZAG Bank app. and it worked much more seamlessly.

I'm retired and I like the convenience of mobile deposit - doesn't require a trip to the bank, don't have to pay $1 for a stamp. Achieva supplies their clients with preaddressed, stamped envelopes to facilitate deposit by mail. The only time I go to my bank now is to make a cash withdrawal.

But once you have established a link with an external account where your funds are, why can't you just do a straight online transfer (pull) rather than write a cheque?

Cheques are payments I receive in the mail. Not everyone does direct deposit.

I did not know that - thanks for the tip. I've used the TD & Achieva apps and both are easy & intuitive to use.
