Account holders will find this in their EQ mailbox:
"Subject: EQ Bank Savings Plus Account Agreement update
FromDAO
From: EQ Bank
Message
At EQ Bank, we're committed to making banking simpler and more flexible to meet your needs.
As a part of that effort, please note the EQ Bank Savings Plus Account Agreement will change on November 6, 2016.
Some key changes include the automated linking of external bank accounts, pre-authorized debits and credits, revised terms for arbitration and account holder access, and, effective December 2016, free transfers between EQ Bank customers. There are also various enhancements to the clarity of defined terms, section headings and to the general language.
Should you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email us at contact@eqbank.ca or call 1-844-437-2265. The latest Account Agreement can be viewed at http://www.eqbank.ca/accountagreement
Thank you for being a part of EQ Bank."
I think it would be a service to everyone if forum members would post such messages here. EQ has chosen the least effective means of communicating, namely the haphazard discovery of a message in one's EQ mailbox, so it's up to us to share when there is new info. The one above was dated Oct 6, but I only just noticed it now.

I asked EQ today for their bank ID and transit numbers - they do not have these yet! Even though their email referred to linking outside accounts after Nov. 6, they mean that they want you to give them the other banks numbers, and they will make the link. Thus any push/pull of funds has to be initiated through EQ. I want to be able to initiate the movement of money to/from EQ from an outside institution - that is still not available, and likely will not be for a long time.

From the payments.ca site, institution ID is 623 and routing numbers
EQUITABLE BANK 623
Routing Numbers /
Numéros d'acheminement
Electronic Paper(MICR)
Électronique Papier(MICR) Postal Address - Addresse postale
062300012 19682-004 30 St. Clair Ave W. Ste 700, Toronto, ON M4V 3A1
062370002 19682-004 30 ST. Clair Ave W. Ste 700, Toronto, ON M4V 3A1
062380002 19682-004 700-30 St. Clair Avenue West, Toronto, ON M4V 3A1
Also do a google search for a PDF titled: mbrbnksn_10.pdf (or https://www.payments.ca/sites/default/files/mbrbnksn_10.pdf). It appers to contain a complete listing of participating member F.I.'s., civic addresses, institution # and branch number.
I've confirmed the BankIDs, branch numbers of my F.I.'s against this list, and everything matches.
I'm not familiar with how *exactly* routing numbers are utilized, but I'm sure another poster could provide those details, which may assist you with the EQ problem your having.
Anyways - hope this helps.
Edit: Equitable Bank uses TD (FI # 004).

Can't use Institution 004, Transit 19682. That is the TD Bank branch at St Clair & Yonge, 2 St Clair Ave E, Toronto, ON.
According to above, Equitable Bank is institution 0623 with electronic transit numbers 00012, 70002, and 80002. That doesn't mean that one can do direct deposit or pre-authorized debits yet. EQ Bank may not have set things up on their end yet or has set things to reject such transactions.

I see EQ now has the automatic "micro deposit" method of linking accounts. I just added my Tangerine account, so I'll see how it goes in the next few (business) days.
They have a limit of 10 linked accounts, and a limit of 10 savings accounts.
For accounts opened before February 21, 2016, the maximum balance per customer is $500,000 (plus accrued interest).
For accounts opened on or after February 21, 2016, the maximum balance per customer is $100,000 (plus accrued interest).
