I wasn't able to find the answer online or here. Does anyone know if there caps or limits on the dollar amount for pulling funds from EQ to another FI, initiated at another FI?

Generally when pulling from other financial institutions, it’s as much as it allows you to pull. Pulls are typically not as restrictive compared to pushes. A pull is a PAD, so the pulling institution has your authorization to request the funds and the bank holding the funds is expected to release them if available, unless they are on hold for example.

So you don't know the limit?

Each bank that you’re initiating the pull from may have their own limits. The easiest way to determine that is to set up a pull to see if it gets accepted.

Of course, you could call the bank in question and ask them.

I think the OP’s question was, how much can you pull from an external account. For example, use Tangerine to pull funds from an EQ account.

There's no fixed dollar limit for incoming pre-authorized debits (PAD).

EQ Bank, like any other bank, will accept the PAD if the account allows it, account has sufficient cleared funds, and the PAD doesn't look suspicious.
