EQ are con artists:I thought the rate of 3% wasn't promotional. They probably wanted to blame the BOC:but there was no decrease in rates.Back home to hubert:I am the king of Selkirk.

You really thought they were going to stay 125 basis points over the general run of permanent rates, and above even the prime commercial lending rate, permanently? In other news, Captain Renault is shocked, shocked, to discover gambling in Rick's Cafe.

EQ Bank, Equitable Bank’s new online deposit-taking venture that could not keep up with demand when it offered clients a savings account with a three per cent savings rate earlier this year, is now lowering that rate to 2.25 per cent.

It must have been the rush, like a bargain hunter lining up early morning on Boxing Day morning for a cheap TV at Best Buy.

Maybe they'll be overwhelmed by the flood of cash leaving and you'll have to reserve a spot to move your money. LOL!!

I actually added my name to the "reserve" list on the day after they announced that they were taking reservations. I have yet to be invited to open an account - after 5 or 6 weeks now.sf-confused

It's the same with my friend who signed up 3 or 3 days after the list started. By the time he gets called, who knows what the rate will be?

Lo and behold - I finally received my invite to sign up for EQ, after having submitted my name the day after they announced that they were taking reservations. Exciting...not! Rather anti-climactic actually.sf-wink
