Seems great for the first year. On an ongoing basis, the Scotia Momentum Visa Infinite card earns more: 4% on gas and groceries, 2% on drug stores, although only 2% for recurring payments, then 1% on everything else.

Apparently they've stopped issuing their old "Gold Elite" Visa, and this new Infinite Cashback looks like an (upgraded) replacement for that. It is the same 1% cashback (except for the gas/grocery/bills at 3%), and it also has the free TD Deluxe Auto Club coverage that the Gold Elite had - this is an $80 option on other TD cards.

For people that aren't running big family grocery and gas bills through the card, things like that or the recurring payments may offset the extra 1% for something like Scotia Momentum.
