My Stack card was eaten by an ATM in England 2 weeks ago and they said I won't get a new card till 5-10 days after May 8.
When travelling, I always like to use the ATM at a bank branch, during normal working hours, so they can dig the card out for me should it inadvertently get eaten.

Thanks for the heads up. Now their marketing language just says "Get cashback on FX on purchases and ATM withdrawals outside of Canada."
I've removed it from the "Credit cards with no foreign currency exchange transaction fees" page now.

Wow, first they restored the foreign currency exchange fee, and now they are requiring a minimum $350 CAD monthly spend to avoid fees.
I tried to call them to cancel mine I got an automatic response that they're not taking any call at the moment ! Many people are calling ! Tried to chat and got put in line #35 !!
Apparently, the only way to cancel is to send them a written notice !
I think even if the balance is 0, they'll still can charge the fees and force you to pay if you don't cancel the card ?
Correction: I just realized you can cancel directly from the app .

Stack charging fees going forward ! Not worth it for me anymore, will cancel it soon.
Just noticed this reading Peter's monthly news...mark my words, this is the beginning of the end of Stack as a going concern. It's likely struggling against fintech competitors like Neo Card/Neo Money, Koho, MogoCard, and PC Money Account. This is a last-ditched effort to try and sustain the business and bring in some cash flow. At the end of the day, though, the largest prepaid credit card business, run by Vancity Community Investment Bank, recently shut down as the business had been in steady decline, in part, due to the fintech growth + no-fee banking account alternatives.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Stack and one other fintech close up shop permanently within the next 6-12 months.
Cheers,
Doug

Looks like STACK is closing as of September 11, 2023, and pointing customers to sign up with KOHO: https://support.getstack.ca/hc/en-us/articles/17864864611227-Why-is-the-STACK-program-being-discontinued-
