I applied for a card that had a 100,000 pts offer mid-Oct just before the offer expired, and got an em near the end of Oct saying card was approved and then another a few days later saying card was being sent out.

A wk later I hadn't received the card but was receiving ems to activate it etc. , so called and was told my account had been "closed" on the same day as the em saying the card was being sent......??!!!

Since then I've been getting nothing but deflection when I call to try to find out what's going on, even after speaking to a CS "manager".
All the while I keep getting ems to link up the card, take advantage of the 100,000 pts, etc. as if I actually had a card - 8 ems so far this month. Moreover there is now a PCF Mastercard (incl last 4 digits) that was put on my PC Optimum account profile that I can't delete.

I have several credit cards and a pretty good credit history, and have never been declined a credit card in the past.

Would appreciate any feedback if anyone else has had this happen too and/or might know what is up with this.

I have no idea what the issue might be.

I went through the same BS thing with RIBC/Costco. CSR's could figure out why I was rejected but they fixed it. Not. I applied twice. Same thing both times.

I eventually just gave up, emptied and closed my Simplii accounts. I told them why. They kinda said something like Ah, OK, have a nice day.

I moved on. I use my PC MC at Costco.
