I think a few credit unions are coming out with their own credit cards. Is Meridian doing their own card or partnering with someone.

Too early to tell about their upcoming Visa card.

However, Meridian is ending their MasterCard relationship with CUET Financial:

Important Notice for Existing Meridian MasterCard® Cardholders

As of January 31, 2017, the relationship between Meridian and CUETS® Financial will end. Although Meridian will no longer participate in the CUETS Financial credit card program, CUETS Financial will continue to provide support and service and assume direct responsibility for all administrative and processing aspects of your MasterCard credit card account as of February 1, 2017.

What happens next?
• In the next 60 to 90 days you will receive a new CUETS Financial MasterCard credit card with Meridian branding removed.

CUETS Financial is a division of The Toronto-Dominion Bank.

In the October Savers Roundup, we featured credit cards that do not charge a 2.5% foreign currency exchange fee. However, missing from that section is that the Meridian Visa Infinite Travel Rewards Card and Meridian Visa Infinite Business Cash Back Plus Card provide a break on the currency exchange fee by essentially giving 1.5% more cash back for such purchases, thus you end up paying only a 1.0% fee.

A personal note is that I applied online for the business card this past summer but never heard anything back, even though I've never been declined for any personal or business card before.

They are running a promotion on this card right now.

FYF and 100 dollars in the form of e transfers (ratesupermarket) or Visa gift card (rate hub).

I've heard bad things about this company though. Plus, they are not located in my province. In addition, I would need to spend 10,000 a year to make the annual fee make sense. As well as Nehpets had some mean things to say about it in this thread I made (second post):

I would also have to sign up for their banking which isn't super interesting to me as i have many already.

I'm going to hold off on it. The temptation isn't large enough to warrent another bank and credit card to baby sit.

What are peoples opinons about this card one year in?

First seen on RFD:

Notes: I'm comparing it with the 3% return on gas and groceries I get with the PC MasterCard.

This card does have nice insurances but I don't travel enough for that to matter.
