It seems this card is having a promotion lately with 50 dollars cashback. Where 25 is earn when first use and another 25 is earn when you switch your Fido bill to this card.

I was told you can switch switch your bill to be pay from this card and switch it back to the other card (ie: Tangerine or Scotia momentum infinite) after first payment and still get the 25 bucks sf-wink.

Additionally, I think people may already realize, but this card is the perfect credit card for Costco as it earn much more reward compare with the Capital1 Costco card (which is weird as the Cap1 card is store brand) and Tangerine card.

For people that doesn't know, there is also a 4% cashback reward for foreign purchase, which net 1.5% reward after fee, and the cashback can be redeem as statement credit once per year.

Yes, this promo is definitely going on. Spouse got an email about it from Rogers.

It's a great card for cashback, foreign purchases and foreign travel.

Downsides: no insurance policies (for those who want them), and you can't pay the CC bill by pre-authorized debit on bank account - yet (important to me, as I am able to do this with my other cards and I don't want the nuisance problem of forgetting to pay a bill).

Rogers Bank announced a change to their Rogers and Fido Mastercards effective May 23, 2018.
For both Mastercard types, welcome promo and cash back earning rates will be reduced among a few other changes.
Rogers Mastercard will no longer have an annual fee (on the positive side to customers).
